A new Indian street food restaurant has opened in Bolton town centre
Mr Chaat – on Market Street - offers traditional north and south Indian cuisine, which is quick but says the manager also really good quality food.
And from the moment you walk in you are hit with the irresistible aromas of north and south Indian street food.
When my colleague Chloe Wilson and I visited Mr Chaat - on Market Street - we were quickly welcomed by a friendly member of staff.
There was a sense of pride when the manager explained the origins of the dishes.

You are also asked how spicy you would like your dish to be.
And just a word of warning for those who love spicy food, some options may be spicier than you think.
I love spicy food, but I still found some of it too spicy even with their medium spice.
I ordered the aloo tikki chaat, the vada pav, the chilli chips, and a kadak chai to drink, which were all vegetarian.
The aloo tikki chaat was priced at £5.59, vada pav cost £5.49, the chilli chips cost £3.99, and the kadak chai was £1.95, bringing the total to £17.42.
The aloo tikki chaat was made up of potato patties, chickpeas, green chutney, and yogurt.
It was so flavoursome, and the yogurt sauce worked really well when mixed with the curry sauce.
It’s a great dish for anyone who does not want something too spicy – and it was a medium spice.
The vada pav is a potato dumpling in a soft bun, with gram flour, and garlic chutney.
This one was not really to my liking because I found the flavours a bit too overpowering, and very spicy.
But the potato dumpling on its own was really tasty, so it might be nice to try this dish without the bread.
My favourite by far has to be the chilli chips.
They were well marinated in a delicious sauce with just the right number of onions.
It was similar to salt and pepper chips, but definitely in a league of its own, with its own flavour.
Overall, I cannot fault the service, and the food was mouth-watering, full of flavour, unique, quick, and fresh.
Chloe also tried the chilli chicken at a cost of £7.99, and the chilli chips, and she says it is “nothing like she has ever tried before”.
She said: “The food was incredible.
“Each dish had its own unique flavour which made for a great street food experience.
“Normally when I have chilli chips it is made with a powder, but at Mr Chaat it was like a sauce/marinade which was so delicious, and I would definitely return to have those again.
“The portion sizes were much bigger than I expected them to be which was an added bonus and the prices were so affordable.
“I definitely recommend trying the eatery.
“I’m not surprised it is always buzzing full of people because the food and atmosphere are perfect.”
