Shopkeepers are being abused and fireworks set off as youths run riot in Little Lever as anti-social behaviour continues to rise in the village.
Now police are urging parents to be aware of what their children are up to and work with officers to stamp out such incidents, which they say is having a 'detrimental effect on the village for everyone'.
The Bolton News has previously reported on anti-social behaviour in the village, with one shopkeeper left feeling scared after he said he was racially abused.
The local library has also had issues with youths in the past.
Recently mindless yobs pulled up benches before dragging them down Market Street in Little Lever.
Councillors said that youths in the precinct were seen rocking one bench and pulling it out of the ground before dragging it down Market Street.
A spokesman for GMP Bolton South said: "Reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in Little Lever are on the rise.
"This is having a detrimental effect on the village for everyone.
"Youths being abusive to members of the community and local businesses."
They added that bicycles are being ridden dangerously, with some cyclists performing dangerous stunts.
The spokesman added: "E-scooters and E-bikes- These are classed as mechanically propelled vehicles and as such can be seized under the road traffic act if they have no licence and insurance.
"Pedal bicycles being ridden without suitable lights to be road legal and being ridden dangerously- wheelies at junctions of roads.
"Fireworks being set off by youths. This is not only illegal but dangerous to members of the public, road users and those using them."
Addressing parents directly ,officers said: "Parents, do you know who your child/children are with? Do you know where they are?
"Do you know what they are doing? Let’s work together and stop the ASB."
