A Bolton MP says he hopes to host yet more public meetings after nearly 100 people turned out to a series of events last week.
Chris Green, MP for Bolton West and Atherton, says that he hosts regular “meet your MP” and “Coffee with Chris” events to give people in the area the chance to raise their concerns.
Last week’s events were hosted at a range of locations across Westhoughton, Horwich, Smithills and Atherton
Mr Green said: “It was fantastic to see nearly 100 people from across the constituency at the Hub in Westhoughton, the Brazley Community Centre in Horwich, the Triangle Church in Smithills and the Snug Atherton.”

He added: “With some people asking questions about local matters such as public transport and potholes and others about the NHS,we covered a huge amount of ground and I’ll be following up with many of the attendees with the issues that they raised.”
Mr Green says that the events are intended to allow people to discuss and ask questions about local, national or international issues.
He says he will be hosting more public meetings in the future and also has an older person’s fair planned for Friday March 8 at Brookfield Hall in Westhoughton from 10:00am to 11:30am.
