Bolton’s motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week.
Each evening from 8pm to 5am up to March 2, there will be moderate delays between 10 and 30 minutes on the M61 in both directions between junction four and seven.
This is due to a lane closure for horticulture works including cutting and planting.
Each evening from 8.30pm to 5am up to March 9, there will be slight delays of under 10 minutes on the M61 southbound between junction five and six.
This is due to a lane closure for drainage works on behalf of National Highways.
A further three closures will begin over the next two weeks.
From today, Wednesday 21 to Friday, February 23, between the hours of 9pm and 5am, there will be slight delays on the M61 northbound between junctions six and eight.
This is due to a lane closure for horticulture including cutting and planting on behalf of National Highways.

From February 24 to February 26, between the hours of 9pm and 5am, there will be slight delays on the M61 in both directions between junctions four and six.
This is a permanent lane closure for barriers on behalf of National Highways.
And from February 28 to March 1, between the hours of 8pm and 5am, there will be slight delays on the M61 northbound between junctions three and four.
This is due to a lane closure for an inspection and survey on behalf of National Highways.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
