A man has been charged after being accused of being more than twice the drink driving limit.
Police said the 56-year-old man was driving in Blackrod and officers then carried out a roadside alcohol test.
He was arrested and in custody it was found he was more than twice the drink driving limit which led to him being charged, police said.

A spokesperson for GMP Bolton West said: “Last week, officers from the Horwich team arrested a 56-year-old male in Blackrod on suspicion of being over the proscribed limit of alcohol.

“The male was stopped due to the manner of his driving and officers completed a roadside test for alcohol which the male failed.
“As per procedure, the male was arrested and provided a further sample in custody which was over double the drink drive limit.
"He was charged and will now appear before the magistrates court next month.
“Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs puts you, other road users and pedestrians at risk of serious harm.”
