A man has been arrested today on suspicion of stealing from a motor vehicle around four months ago.
The alleged theft from a motor vehicle is believed to have happened in the Halliwell area in November of last year.
Police launched an investigation and confirmed on Sunday, February 18, they had arrested a suspect linked to the theft.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have been investigating a theft from motor vehicle in the Halliwell area which occurred in November 2023.
“As a result of the investigation, a suspect was identified and whilst officers were out on patrol in the Halliwell area this afternoon, they spotted the male who was wanted for the offence.
“The male has now been arrested on suspicion of theft from motor vehicle and remains in custody for questioning.”

As yet no further details have been released about the man’s identity or about what was believed to have been stolen from the vehicle in November 2023.
Police have appealed for anyone with any further information or concerns to get in touch with them by calling 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
