An appeal is underway to help find a man wanted in connection with an assault.
Earlier this week police said they were looking for Aaron Whittaker, 34, who has links to Atherton, Leigh and Wigan.
They say that they want to trace him in connection with a suspected assault and have appealed for any members of the public who may know where he is to come forward.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “GMP are appealing for the public’s help to “trace Aaron Whittaker (22/09/1989), who is wanted in connection with an assault.
“He has links to the Wigan, Atherton and Leigh areas of Greater Manchester.”
An image of Whittaker supplied by police shows a man with short dark hair and dressed in dark coloured clothing.
Police regularly put out wanted appeals like this in an effort to encourage members of the public who may have any information that could help with their investigation to come forward.
In this case, anyone who may know where Whittaker may be or who has any other information about his whereabouts has been urged to contact police as soon as possible.
They can do so by calling 0161 856 7094.
Alternatively witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
