Bolton Council are urging people in Bolton to recycle Valentine’s Day cards with a few extra tips.
As Valentine’s Day goes by for another year, people up and down the country will have received cards to celebrate the occasion.
Bolton Council released a statement on Facebook to remind people that all cards should be recycled except those with glitter or foil.
The post read: “Roses are red Violets are blue Please recycle your cards Into something new.
“Show some love to your beige bin by recycling your Valentine’s cards.
“But please remember never to put paper cards with glitter or foil into the recycling.”
It comes amid news that Bolton’s Labour Council’s new budget includes beige bins now only be collected once a month/ Outrage was caused over the last few months as bins have been missed in Bolton due to bad weather conditions.

Bolton Council said in a statement at the time: ““In Bolton, every effort is made to make good on missed collections, but this is not always possible.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and thank residents for their understanding.”
People can check online for when their next bind date or if they have not been collected, the website will show alternative days.
