A new exhibition has opened at Bolton train station's art gallery.
‘Perspective’ is the latest exhibition at the P5 - Platform 5- Gallery and is a collection of paintings by Bolton-based artist and author Richard Hall.
The exhibition has been photographed by University of Bolton student Ben Midlane and re-created in a virtual format by South East Lancashire Community Rail Partnership Officer Dr Stephanie Dermott, making the gallery available to a much larger audience than ever before.
Appointments to view the exhibition can be arranged on the website - https://www.southeastlancscrp.org.uk/contact/
Realising from an early age that art was a language that spoke to everyone, Richard used it to express his feelings in many ways.
Having entered and won an art competition at the age of 12, he was set on a course for life, consequently attending art school before progressing to Edge Hill University in the early 1980s.

Since then, art has taken Richard on a journey leading to lots of different workplaces and making many new friends.
Speaking of his passion for creating, Richard said: “My whole life has been influenced by my painting and more recently my writing.
“This latest exhibition in the P5 Gallery brings together some works from earlier in my career to pieces that I have only just completed.
“It’s a good range of my work that will hopefully appeal to a new online audience.”
After many years of working in monochrome, Richard found colour had an important influence on his work.
Colour perspective enabled him to make a huge leap forward in his practice, encouraging him to enter more competitions, exhibit widely and find a market for his work which he now sells regularly.
Richard has also held workshops and tutorials to share his passion and techniques with other aspiring artists.
The exhibition is online and can be viewed using the QR code in the photos and in person by appointment through the website above.
