Come Dine with Me contestant is proving flavour of the month and is not short of dinner guests after appearing on the hit Channel 4 show.
Hairdresser Shane Mcloughlin from the Morris Green area in Bolton, was the second host of the week on Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me show.
For starters, Shane made sushi, for mains he cooked a Thai green curry, and for dessert he made his own cheesecake, which did not go to plan.
Shane said: “It didn’t go to plan.
“The cheesecake was a bit of a disaster - I tried a new thing to put chocolate in the base but it got stuck to the tin.
“Everyone that saw it was laughing, it was quite fun though.
“I sang an Amy Winehouse song for entertainment, Valerie for the evening and my guests were in stitches and found it hilarious.”
Shane’s theme was royal, a nod to when his friend bought him a ‘Lordship’ for his birthday.
On how his dinner night went, Shane said: “It was a mixed review, not everyone likes sushi and Thai green curry.
“Someone said it wasn’t spicy enough and a bit bland.
“The main part was the cheesecake and I called it The King Cheesecake because my dog is called the King, and someone called it a dog’s dinner.
“Overall, everyone had a good time and a good time watching it.”
Shane admitted his cooking skills were not the best but has been cooking more often since the show.
He said: “I am not the best cook but I do like to try and work on my cooking skills.
“Since the show I have been trying new dishes and I am a lot more adventurous with spices and make things more tasty.
“I will re-do them all and do them better this time.
“I always make cheesecake and it never goes wrong usually."

The episode saw Shane achieve an overall 21.
He said: “There were a few harsh scores I would say from Lewis and Katie, but they all said my hosting skills were good and I put on a good dinner party.
“People are just saying how funny it was and asking if they can come round for tea and everyone wants me to cook for them now even strangers on the street.
The episode is available to view on catch-up on Channel 4.
