A doctor honoured as the Bolton News’ young entrepreneur of the year has now been recognised as one of the most “influential” people in the country.
Dr Prash Ladva, from Deane, won the prestigious award at a packed ceremony at Bolton Whites Hotel that honoured businesspeople from all over the borough.
He has just been named in the Top 100 Programme, created by Awards Intelligence Founder, Mark Llewellyn-Slade which honours people across all kinds of walks of life.
The hardworking physician was handed the honour thanks to his work helping other doctors, primarily from the UK but who have trained around the world, come to the NHS.
Dr Ladva said: “This was from the work that I have been doing with LinkMedics for over four years to support internationally trained doctors coming into the NHS, specifically those British citizens who had been rejected from UK medical schools and decided to complete their medical training overseas.”
Dr Ladva founded LinkMedics in 2019 and has also worked in A&E and acute medicine.
He was inspired to go about this work after building his career by relocating to Bulgaria at the age of just 18 when he did not get any places to study at UK medical schools.
This, he says, gives him a strong sense of empathy with people in similar situations.
Dr Ladva said: “I too didn’t get a place to study medicine in the UK, and spent six years living, earning the language and completed my medical training.
“LinkMedics started from that experience, to ensure the NHS retains its British talent, and doesn’t deplete other developing countries of its doctors, where they are equally needed.

“We’ve had some great milestones along the way, including estimated savings of over £2M for the NHS, and hundreds of doctors supported.”
Not only has Dr Ladva been honoured as the Bolton News’ young entrepreneur of the year, but the ensuing publicity has seen him recognised as one of the UK’s top most influential people.
Dr Ladva’s inclusion puts him amongst previous luminaries like businessman and Gymshark majority owner Ben Francis and Dragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett.
