Modern day Bolton is often the backdrop for filming both for TV and the big screen.
But it's not a new phenomenon.
This photo from 1992 shows how Sylvester Street in School Hill was transformed into a Victorian neighbourhood for a children's TV drama - A Likely Lad.
Both Sylvester Street and Powell Street, which were due for demolition, were reprieved for a while when the BBC moved in to film the six-part series.
A corner property was given a makeover to look like a sweet shop and tobacconist, and washing was hung out across the street - as was the way at the turn of the last century.
