New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated two eateries a five out of five hygiene rating, one eatery a three, and two eateries a two out of five hygiene rating.

A Bolton fast-food eatery has been awarded a new five out of five food hygiene rating after inspection.

The inspection report states the management of food safety is very good, whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the hygienic food handling are good.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is very good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are both good.

One takeaway has been awarded a three out of five hygiene rating after inspection.

The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.

The inspection report states improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling, whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory.

The inspection report states improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling, whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory.

It means that of Bolton's 440 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 245 (56 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
