New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated two eateries a five out of five hygiene rating, one eatery a three, and two eateries a two out of five hygiene rating.
A Bolton fast-food eatery has been awarded a new five out of five food hygiene rating after inspection.
Subway Market Street at 21 Market Street, Little Lever, received the new rating after inspection on January 31.
The inspection report states the management of food safety is very good, whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the hygienic food handling are good.
The Railway at 37 Chapeltown Road, Bromley Cross, received a rating of five on February 12.

One takeaway has been awarded a three out of five hygiene rating after inspection.
Downtown Burger at Unit 3, 224 Blackburn Road, was handed the rating after an inspection on December 7.
The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.
Food hygiene inspectors have also awarded two eateries a two out of five hygiene rating.
Lenny's Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 104-108 High Street, Little Lever, Bolton was given the score of two after assessment on January 3, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

Naz Balti Kebab House, a restaurant, cafe, or canteen at 131 Deane Road, Bolton was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 4.
The inspection report states improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling, whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory.
It means that of Bolton's 440 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 245 (56 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
