A group of volunteers are trekking from the Toughsheet Community Stadium to Blackpool Football Stadium to help raise funds for life-saving training and defibrillators.
Following the death of life-long Wanderers fan Iain Purslow, the Bolton Wanderers Remembrance Group (BWRG) teamed up with prominent defibrillator campaigner, Claire Axon – who runs the charity Minutes Matter.
The money raised will go to funding first aid training to help support CPR, and training for Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Member of the organisation behind it, Andrew Bowling, says that it is more important than ever to have life saving skills, which is close to Claire’s heart.
Andrew said: “After the success of our last walk, in which two of our members walked from the ground all the way to the home of Sheffield, we decided to do a midnight walk, with the aim of arriving at Blackpool Football Club.
“We have a list of 27 confirmed walkers who are all Bolton Wanderers fans.

“We will be leaving the ground at midnight on Friday February 23, stopping off at the homes of local football teams Chorley, Preston, and Bamber Bridge, before we make our way to Blackpool.
“We have had fantastic support so far with seven local business committing £250 each towards the funding of defibrillators to be placed in and around Bolton.
“As well as a donation of £1,500 from local businessman John Disley.”
The group will also be making donations to other related charities like St John’s Ambulance and Bolton Wanderers in the Community.
There are also practise walks every Tuesday and Thursday evenings that will range from two to three hours, and anyone is welcome to come along.
The BWRG is a non-for-profit community group.
They have a vast support network of almost 20 charities and businesses that they work closely with to help the people who need it most in the borough.
