An inquest has opened into the death of a 19-year-old.
Harrison Rimmer, 19, was discovered outside his home on Oaks Lane, off Bradshaw Brow, last month.
At Bolton Coroner's Court this week an inquest opened into the death before assistant coroner Simon Nelson.
The Police Coroner's Officer, Andrew Pickles, set out the circumstances to Mr Nelson.
Mr Pickles said: "The police can confirm there was an investigation into the incident.
"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances or third party involvement."
A postmortem by Dr Ravindra Sawant at Royal Bolton said the cause of death was hanging.
Mr Nelson asked for statements from the relevant services and he adjourned the inquest.
Mr Nelson said: "In this case I am satisfied the cause of death appears to be unnatural and this allows me to open the inquest.
"I extend my condolences to the family."
