If you were a primary school pupil in Bolton in 1975, there’s a chance you are either on one of these photos from the archive or recognise someone who is.

We have pulled together a selection of pictures taken by Bolton Evening News photographers during that year all recording different aspects of school life.

Everyone certainly appears to have been having some fun in the classroom of they are anything to go by.

It’s difficult to imaging that these smiling, fresh-faced youngsters will now all be in their late fifties and early sixties now.

There’s a fine collection of jumpers and busy patterns on display too - well it was the Seventies!
