A person has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on a road in Bolton.
An air ambulance was scrambled to Aldercroft Avenue in Breightmet just before 4pm on Wednesday after a crash involving a motorbike and car.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said they were called to the incident at 3.53pm where advanced paramedics and a critical care team in an air ambulance were called.
A patient was taken to hospital suffering leg and head injuries.

Aldercroft Avenue was cordoned off by police while investigations take place and an officer on the scene said the road could be closed for few hours.

Eyewitnesses said that they heard a helicopter above which landed on a field nearby, and believe that a boy was knocked down however police are yet to confirm this.
Greater Manchester Police haven’t commented on the incident.
