Women across Bolton are set to be celebrated this International Women’s Day as a 'female empowerment circle' hosts an event for charity.
On Friday, March 8 between 12 and 3pm, Sarah Hulme, 53, founder of the Bolton Ladies Empowerment Circle Group is to host a charity afternoon tea style lunch at Retreat.
On arrival there will be a small exhibition showcasing their businesses.
Ladies can have mini pamper sessions, see demonstrations, and speak to people at information access points on financial and estate planning topics plus there will be gift stalls.
Then there’s a lunch inside the restaurant for 70 ladies to celebrate women of all backgrounds and ages.
There will be speakers on the day including Stacey Withington, Sharon Bailey, Carol Grech, Heather Rose, and Lisa Adams.
An auction will take place too with prizes including spa days, afternoon teas and overnight stays.
Then to finish ladies can continue to browse the exhibition stalls outside which close at 4pm.

All money raised for Our NHS will be from the raffle tickets sold on the day, £5 per strip, with a host of wonderful prizes.
Sarah said: “I’m really excited about this event as I’m so excited not only to raise money for Our Bolton NHS charity which impacts us all but also to hear and recognise the women in the room.
“So many have overcome obstacles, curve balls and are on a journey and it’s important to recognise just how amazing they are.
“It’s important we all support and celebrate each other, it’s the first time I’ve ever hosted an international women day’s event and I just want my event to be full of energy and empowerment which is what we achieve in our groups.
“The event will be a very relaxed, fun, and empowering day.
“Our Bolton NHS Charity is our charity partner for 2024 along with BackUp North West but we alternate events as to who we raise funds for, so this time we are raising for the NHS.
“The headline sponsor of the day is Crystal Life Planning and sister company Crystal Life Counselling.
“They are a fabulous local company with a fabulous ethos, your life your way.
“They offer one to one counselling, estate planning and will writing services to help support and protect local people of Bolton.
“Throughout the past 30 plus years I have embarked on various business ventures, each offering its own set of successes and lessons.
“I’ve always wanted more than a 9 to 5 but my true passion lies in supporting, connecting, and empowering women.
“Having experienced the challenges of balancing a full-time job or business with other life responsibilities such as family, home, parents, and menopause and that where I founded the Ladies Empowerment Circle.
“This community is dedicated to supporting women of all ages and backgrounds, whether employed, self-employed or are at a crossroads in life.
“I look forward to welcoming you to any of our groups.”
Tickets are priced at £20 per person or £25 per person with a glass of champagne.
People can attend the expedition without a ticket.
