An investigation is underway after a group of suspected balaclava clad burglars left their victims “seriously injured.”
The burglary is believed to have happened on Osbourne Grove in Higher Folds, Leigh at around 6.35pm on the evening of Monday January 29.
Police believe a group of six men, all wearing balaclavas, were involved and are still at large.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “An incident occurred in Higher Fold Leigh at around 6.35pm Monday 29 January 2024 on Osborne Grove.
“An address and its occupants were subjected to an aggravated burglary whereby serious injuries were sustained by the victims.
“The suspects are unknown and still at large.
“They are described as six males wearing balaclavas.
“Enquiries are ongoing and hi-visibility patrols are in the area to offer reassurance.”
As yet police have not released any further details about anything the group of balaclava clad men are believed to have taken from their victims.
Officers have urged anyone with any information about the men’s identities, or who may have witnessed the incident or who has any other details to come forward.
