A man has been arrested after a two-car crash on a major Bolton road on Sunday evening.
Police say that the driver was involved in a crash with another car on Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge, after failing to stop for them on Prince Street at around 6.40pm on Sunday.
The 42-year-old driver was injured in the crash and taken to hospital and has now been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “A vehicle failed to stop for police officers on Prince Street at around 6.40pm on Sunday, January 28.
“The vehicle made off and collided with another car.
“The driver of the offending vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment on injuries which are not life-threatening or life-changing.
“The driver of the offending vehicle, a 42-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.”

Blackburn Road was taped off for much of Sunday evening as the emergency services went about their work.
At least six police cars were in attendence, along with a senior forensic collision investigation van.
An ambulance was also called to the scene. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue confirmed that they had not been called to the incident.
On Sunday evening, the area was fully taped off and cordoned with cones at the junction of the nearby Mercedes and Citroën dealerships with traffic having to be re-directed.
At least eight police officers were also there.
