Police taped off an area in Bradshaw this morning after being called to a concern for welfare incident.
Emergency services were called just before 9am to the street.
Tragically a man was pronounced dead at the scene
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 8.45am today (Sunday 28 January), officers responded to concerns regarding the welfare of a man in Oaks Lane, Bolton
"Sadly, officers found the body of a man and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and his next of kin have been informed."
