A man has been arrested by police investigating car crime in The Haulgh following an appeal after vehicles were damages over three days.
Officers say that the man has been arrested on suspicion of 11 counts of criminal damage.
Police said Chadwick Street and Castle Street were among the areas where the damage was taken place.
And following this officers say they have detained a man.
A spokesperson from GMP Bolton North said: "Following from our previous appeal for the damages in the Chadwick Street area we can now confirm that a male has been arrested (on suspicion of ) for 11 counts of criminal damage and is in police custody where he will be questioned.
"Thank you to those that got in touch and reported these matters."

Officers previously stepped up patrols after the damage was first reported.
At the time they urged anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for GMP said previously: “In the early of hours of the past three days there have been multiple vehicles damaged in the Chadwick Street and Castle Street area of the Haulgh, Bolton.
“It is believed that these incidents are linked and are being committed by a single person.
“The Bolton North Neighbourhood team are currently investigating these offences.
“If anyone has information or CCTV to assist in investigating these crimes or identifying the offender then please email PS Shaw on 17715@gmp.police.uk with the details.
“There will be an increased Police presence in this area whilst we investigate these offences, prevent further damages and detain this individual.”
