A number of people from Bolton have recently been in court for offences including criminal damage, theft and motoring offences.

Magistrates have recently dealt with the following matters.

Mohamedhasim Patel drove a Toyota Auris above the drink drive limit.

The 31-year-old carried out the offence on Church Avenue, Deane, last month.

He was breathalysed and found to have 52 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35.

Patel, from Clunton Avenue, Deane, admitted the offence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

He was banned from the roads for a year and fined £215.

Lauren Banks stole household items from Home Bargains on Trinity Street in the centre of Bolton.

The 31-year-old admitted the offence, which took place in August last year, at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

The value of the items was not stolen.

Banks, from Battenberg Road, Halliwell, was given a sentence of six months suspended for a year.

She was ordered to complete 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Yakub Thompson stole six packets of meatballs, five packets of burgers worth £36 from the Tesco Express on Wigan Road, Deane, in October last year.

The 30-year-old admitted the offence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

Thompson, from Oriel Street, Bolton, was given 12 weeks imprisonment suspended for a year.

He was ordered to do 25 rehabilitation activity requirements and to pay £36 of compensation to Tesco.

Dawn Chaisty sent a false message on a communication network to cause annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety in Bolton in November last year.

The 60-year-old admitted the breach of the Communications Act at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

Chaisty, from Brazley Avenue, Horwich, was fined £40.

Edgar Svedovas damaged the interior of a Stagecoach bus in Swinton in October last year.

The 24-year-old caused £300 of damage.

He admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Svedovas, from Abbey Close, Daubhill, was fined £100 and ordered to pay compensation of £300.
