Artists will be staging their first homecoming exhibition.
Standard Art Collective will be presenting Lines in the Sand - described as a 'wonderfully eclectic mix of artistic styles and processes' at Bolton Museum.
The art collective is made up of seven friends who met while studying at the University of Bolton.
This will be their seventh exhibition but the first in their 'hometown'.
They have staged exhibitions including one in Bolton’s twin town in Germany, Paderborn with fellow artists from the Raum Für Kunst collective.
The group formed in 2016, and members Alison Timmins, Denis Whiteside, Rob Gittins, Andy Smith, Liam Ainscough, John Wineyard and Marc Heaton have presented six group shows and lines in the sand is set to be the seventh.
The exhibition will explore a range of subjects, from the' mundane to the monumental' .
Lines in the sand by the Standard Art Collective will open on Saturday the 17th of February and will run through till Sunday the 31st of March.
To finally have an exhibit back where it all started means a lot to the collective, said member Andy Smith.
He said: “We've been over to Germany (Paderborn) six times now including when we first met them, and we promised we wouldn’t invite them back to the UK till we were in a decent gallery.
"It’s even more special because previously our exhibitions were between artists but this time it’s open to the public.

"The German artists will be present for the exhibition opening, with their artwork being shipped over and Smith has urged the public to come and support its visitors.
“They’ll be there for the opening, it’s the only time their art will be in Bolton especially and maybe even the only time it'll be in the country.”
When asked what visitors can expect from the new exhibition Smith said, “A real eclectic mix, there's seven artists plus 11 more from Raum Für Kunst, it’s a real mixed bag.”
