Asda is turning more of its petrol stations into card only, including two in Bolton.
A total of 82 of supermarket petrol station forecourts will no longer accept cash as most customers now use cards to pay.
The petrol forecourts will be unmanned and Asda says that staff will be redeployed into its stores.
In Bolton this will affect the Horwich Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park petrol forecourt at BL6 6JA and the Bolton Astley Bridge forecourt at BL1 8QG.
The Radcliffe store forecourt at M26 3DA and the Leigh store forecourt at WN7 5RZ will also become completely cashless.
Asda have 300 forecourts attached to Asda superstores and over half of these sites are already unmanned.
There are 82 sites that have drive-thru payment kiosks at superstores and 14 of those 82 sites have already been converted since December last year.

Asda said they began a programme to redeploy the colleagues in these sites to the superstores last year and expect this will be completed by summer.
Only forecourts that are located adjacent to an Asda Superstore will be affected and there is no change to any of their other sites.
A spokesperson for Asda said: “This change only affects 82 drive thru fuel stations attached to Asda Superstores.
“All Asda stores will continue to accept both cash and card payments as normal.”
According to Asda, more than 90 per cent of all payments on superstore forecourts are made via card or a contactless device, the colleagues who worked on these sites are moving into the store so they can better serve customers.
