A man was left with life-changing injuries in an unprovoked knife attack.
The horrific attack took place in Halliwell, at an address just off Halliwell Road on January 10 at 12.30am.
Now police have released an image of man they want to speak to as part of their investigation into the attack.
A man approached a property and launched what is believed to be an unprovoked attack.
The 20-year-old victim required surgery and police said the knife attack left him with life changing injuries to his hand.
After conducting several lines of enquiry, detectives have now identified this man pictured they would like to speak to in connection with this incident, as they believe he has vital information that could help with the investigation.

Detective Constable Penni Thomas of GMP Bolton’s Crime Investigation Department said: “This is an understandably shocking attack that has left a man with devastating injuries.
“We are keen to speak to the man pictured as we believe he could help considerably with our enquiries and whilst our investigation is ongoing, we are appealing to members of the local public in Halliwell to come forward if they saw something two weeks ago.
"This could be eyewitness accounts, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage at the time of the incident or leading up to or after the attack.
“This can be done by calling the Bolton district direct on 0161 856 5757 quoting incident number 85 of 10/01/2024 or anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
