A councillor has created a video in a desperate plea to people not to fly-tip.
Deane has been earmarked as a fly-tipping hotspot for sometime now and councillor has had enough.
Cllr Jack Khan says the issue cannot continue as it is - and needs to be addressed.
In the video he warns about the fines issued for fly-tipping as well as what he will be doing to educate people about it.
Cllr Khan said the council would be handing fines to anyone they saw fly-tipping and relied on the public to tell them if they suspected someone of this.
The councillor said that he was looking at getting signs put up to remind people of fines and would be knocking on doors to speak to people.
Cllr Khan says in the video: “People just come and decide to throw rubbish on corners of the street.
“The minute you see a bit of rubbish, people will decide to dump it. You will be getting fined and into serious trouble.
“To landlords out there and imams out there, to people who are the heads of their communities, please have a word, throwing rubbish is a very serious sin and please try to avoid it.”
Cllr Khan told The Bolton News that Bolton Council used skips to deter people from illegally dumping rubbish, but this cannot be used every single time.
He said: “As a council, we are going to try and clear it whenever we see it, so complain to us and we will get round to it.
“And to the offenders, we will be cracking down and you will get into serious trouble.
“Please take care of your streets as the are your areas.
“Bolton belongs to everyone, so please keep your streets clean and speak to as many people as you can. No more fly-tipping.”
People in Deane recently complained about the rubbish dumped at the junction of Back Willows Lane South and Back Dijon Street.
A spokesperson for Bolton Council said previously: “A request has been made for a clean up to take place.
“Unfortunately, this area is a fly-tipping hotspot.
“We are investigating this incident to find those responsible. On a recent occasion, we issued fines totalling £3,000 for fly-tipping offences in this area.”
