Two men have been arrested on suspicion of a range of “vehicle crimes” and drug offences in Bolton.
The pair, one aged 45 the other 43, were both arrested in the northern part of the town on Sunday morning.
Officers say that this comes as part of wider efforts to crack down on vehicle crime and burglary all around the borough.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “As we continue to tackle vehicle crime and burglary in the area, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have made two arrests this morning.
“A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and a 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference, theft from a motor vehicle, possession with intent to supply class C drugs and possession of class A drugs.
“They remain in police custody for questioning.”
As yet no further details have been released about the men’s identities or the area of North Bolton they were arrested in.
Police have urged anyone with any concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour in their areas to call them on 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
Alternatively, witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
