Emergency services were called to a fire at a restaurant in Bolton.
The call came from Marsden Road at around 3pm.
Residents of Marsden House were evacuated as the fire alarm went off.
One woman who lives in the area said: "It was at 3pm the alarm went off, I went outside and everyone was saying we had to get out.
"We were out for an hour."

A spokesperson for Bolton Central fire station said: "It was a little burn in a restaurant.
"We were called at 3pm.
"We are finished now."
