A suspected stolen vehicle has been seized by police following concerns raised by residents in Great Lever.
The vehicle was spotted as police were tackling “various issues” in the community on Tuesday night when they spotted the vehicle.
Police believe the vehicle was potentially used in a crime.
Whilst out on patrol, police also carried out a number of stop and searches under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
A spokesperson for GMP South said: “Yesterday evening your local officers have been out and about in Great Lever, to tackle the various issues raised by the local community.

“As a result of these patrols, one vehicle was subsequently seized as it was suspected that it had been used in crime and also potentially stolen.
“A number of stop searches were also conducted in Great Lever of individuals under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
“We will act on information we receive from the public to keep our communities safe.
“We would encourage anyone with information regarding criminality in Great Lever or Bolton as a whole to get in touch with us on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
“Alternatively you also have the option of Crimestoppers.”
