Bolton North police say an officer was 'headbutted' while arresting a teenager in Breightmet yesterday, Tuesday.
The Bolton North Neighbourhood Team say a 19-year-old man was arrested after allegedly assaulting an officer, but confirmed they were not seriously injured.
The man has been wanted for breaching a court order and failing to attend court. Officers say he is now in police custody.

A spokesperson for GMP Bolton North said: "A man has been arrested for assaulting a police officer.
"This evening, [Tuesday] officers from the #Bolton North Neighbourhood Team attended an address in Breightmet to arrest a wanted man.
"The man was wanted for breaching a court order and failing to appear at court today.
"A 19-year-old man was arrested for these offences and whilst under arrest, head butt one of the officers.
"Thankfully, the officer didn’t receive any injuries.
"He has now also been arrested for assaulting an emergency worker. He remains in police custody for questioning and will be taken to court tomorrow.
