Emergency services attended a two-car crash on a major town centre junction in Bolton this morning. 

The collision took place on Trinity Street at its junction with Moor Lane and Derby Street. 

Firefighters from Bolton North fire station were called to the junction after 11am. They set up a cordon and helped one person before handing them over to paramedics.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At just after 11.15am one fire engine from Bolton North fire station attended a crash involving two cars on Trinity Street, Bolton.

"Firefighters set-up a cordon to make the scene safe and assisted in the care of one person before handing them to the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for around 50 minutes.”

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "A patient was assessed by an ambulance crew but wasn’t taken to hospital."
