Greater Manchester Police stopped drivers for various vehicle offences yesterday in a day of action.
One car was immobilised with numerous GFPNs handed out - a fine for vehicles being over weight.
A spokesman for GMP said: "GMP Commercial Vehicle Unit were engaged on an enforcement operation earlier today along the M62 corridor.
"Several drivers were stopped and dealt with by the team for various offences resulting in vehicle seizures, numerous GFPNs and 1 vehicle being immobilised."
It comes as police take measures to ensure safety on the roads with numerous operations which took place last year.
Officers from Bolton North and West and GMP's Road Policing Unit and Traffic PCSO's were on Wigan Road in Hunger Hill in December 2023 as part of a Christmas operation.
During the police operation, officers gave drivers advice on how to safety and rectifying faults.
Two cars were found to have no insurance during the operation and checks, and subsequently, the cars were seized.
A spokesman for GMP said: "Driving home for Christmas? We want you to have a safe journey so check your vehicle and drive carefully.
"Earlier this week neighbourhood officers from the Bolton North & West along with officers from GMP's Road Policing Unit & Traffic PCSO's were engaged on Op Limit on Wigan Road, Hunger Hill."
