A crackdown on car crime and burglaries by police in Bolton resulted in five arrests as officers patrolled the streets into the early hours.
Officers say more than a dozen people were stopped and searched during the patrols taking place this week.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police North Neighbourhood Team said: "Some officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have been working into the early hours of the morning this week to prevent vehicle crime and burglaries.
"So far this week: Five people have been arrested, 16 stop searches have been conducted for drugs/weapons/articles to commit burglary or theft, three vehicles have been seized for having no insurance, 12 pieces of intelligence have been gathered.

Officers have urged anyone with any concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour on the roads or otherwise in their communities to get in touch by calling 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
