Bolton: Four eateries have been handed new hygiene ratings

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated one eatery a four out of five, one eatery a three and two eateries a two out of five hygiene rating.

Subway (Image: NQ)Subway, a restaurant, cafe, or canteen at 67 Deansgate, Bolton was given the score after assessment on December 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are good whilst the management of food safety is generally satisfactory.

Theresa’s Cafe (Image: Google Maps)Theresa’s Cafe, a restaurant, cafe, or canteen at 3 Derwent Road, Farnworth, Bolton was given the score after assessment on October 31, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.

It means that of Bolton's 438 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 245 (56 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The inspection report states the management of food safety is generally satisfactory whilst improvement is necessary for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
