A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a rush hour crash.
The biker remains in hospital following the collision which took place on Friday (January 5) at 6pm on the A58, Park Road, Westhoughton on the junction of Cricketers Way
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30’s suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains to receive treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 70’s was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are appealing for people who saw the collision to come forward as the investigation into the crash continues.

A police spokesperson said: "No arrests have been made and enquiries are on-going into the circumstances of the collision and officers want to hear from any witnesses or residents nearby, who may have seen anything, or captured anything on CCTV or dash cam footage at the time.
