Police patrols have been stepped up in an area branded as a hotspot for vehicle crime.
Officers have been patrolling Beaconsfield Street, Brandwood Street and Westerton Court in Deane handing out crime prevention leaflets.
GMP says that the areas have been 'targets' for vehicle crime, and that officers will continue to focus their efforts there.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Rumworth - officers have conducted leaflets drops containing important crime prevention advice in the areas of Beaconsfield Street, Brandwood Street and Westerton Court as these areas have been a target for vehicle crime.
"Officers will continue to focus on these areas."
Police also patrolled the area towards the end of last year in order to deter vehicle crime.
A senior councillor said the area was one where people "can't fail" to see crime if they waited around there for an hour.
