Plenty of drama and theatrics will mark the launch of this year's talks by the Over Hulton Heritage Group.
The group plays host to guest speakers every month, who give a talk on a wide variety of topics.
The first talk takes place on Wednesday (January 10th) at 7pm in the Over Hulton Conny Club.
Entitled 'Curtain Up', the audience will hear the history of one of the most iconic and majestic theatres in the country, the Lancaster Grand.
Guest speaker Adrian Tayler will cover the early history of British Theatre through a look at this famous venue built in 1782.
Adrian will also cover how a theatre works and how a production is staged.
The admission price is £4 - free for under 14s.
All are welcome and it is possible to just pay on the door.
