The case of a Greater Manchester Police officer who was sentenced to 26 years in prison for rape and sexual assault is one of a number of cases to be considered by a tribunal in the last three months.
A list of outcomes released last week revealed almost a dozen employees either were dismissed or would have been dismissed if still with the force between October last year and December last year.
Those who were dismissed included a police constable who was sentenced to 26 years in prison for rape and sexual assault. The victim was a child who was under the age of 16 years old at the time the abuse started.
There was a police constable who was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Meanwhile there was a staff member who was convicted of assault, a staff member who was convicted of drink driving and a staff member who sent offensive messages on Microsoft Teams and on WhatsApp.

Those who would have been dismissed if still with the force included a police constable who was convicted of the offences of misconduct in a public office, money laundering and conspiracy to commit burglary.
There was a police constable who forged a fake letter from their GP in order to spend time off work.
Meanwhile there was one staff member who was cautioned for fraud, one staff member who was convicted of drink driving and one staff member who harassed a number of colleagues while on duty.
One police constable received a written warning. They touched a number of colleagues on a night out.
Some employees were cleared after an investigation including two for a failure in their duty of care and two for the use of force.
The number of cases considered by a tribunal in the last three months takes the total number of cases for last year to more than 70.
This is down on the previous year as the total number of cases for 2022 was more than 90.
