A woman died at her partner's home after a drug overdose, an inquest has been told.
Andrea Loftus died aged 56 on November 4 last year at her partner's flat on Park Road, Bolton.
An inquest opening at Bolton Coroners' Court was told Ms Loftus had been in a relationship for 14 years at the time of her death.
Police coroners officer Robert Struttman said: "Following a night of smoking heroin, Ms Loftus fell asleep at around 6am.
"At 4pm, her partner woke to discover her deceased."
Paramedics were called and confirmed her death at 7.30pm.
PCO Struttman said that there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances around her death.
Pathologist Dr Ravindra Sawant gave her medical cause of death as combined drug toxicity.
Coroner Timothy Brennand said a full inquest into her death had already been set for February 22.
He ordered an antecedent report, as well as statements from Ms Loftus' GP, any agency that deals with addiction and from mental health services, by January 26.
