A major road is set to be closed for overnight works whilst carriageway repairs are undertaken.
From January 8 for approximately two weeks De Havilland Way will be closed for repair works.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on De Havilland Way from Burnden Way to its junction with the M61, to allow carriageway repairs to take place.
Diversions will be in place to allow motorists to travel around the area with ease.

Traffic will be diverted down Chorley New Road, down Crown Lane onto the Blackrod Bypass Road, then onto the A6.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
