At least two cars were damaged in what appears to have been a crash over the weekend.
Police were called to the scene on the afternoon of Saturday December 30 on Blackburn Road, a major road close to the entrance of Dunscar Golf Club in Egerton.
Eyewitness reports suggest that the crash happened at around 2.30pm that afternoon.
Images from the scene show a blue BMW having been badly damaged and another black vehicle also having been damaged.
Police officers are shown to have been at the scene with police tape in place at one point.
The incident appears to have been unrelated to another crash that took place later that same day also on Blackburn Road.
The second crash took place at the junction of Waters Meeting Road and Blackburn Road later in the day at around 8.30pm.
Three fire engines and North West Ambulance Service paramedics called to the scene.
