People in Bolton can look forward to travelling around the North West for as little as £1 again from next week.
The Northern ticket sale happens every year and it means people in Bolton can get around the region including to Manchester for cheap.
A spokesman for Northern said: “On January 3 (Wednesday), we’ll be launching £1 train tickets right across our network – so you can make more of the moments that matter to you!
“Whether it’s to reunite with the grandkids, catching up with mates, or going on an adventure to somewhere you’ve never been before – you can #GoDoYourThing this New Year for less!
“Signing up to our mailing list is the best way to know when these tickets are live! You don’t want to miss out on this one.”
Destinations from Bolton include all Manchester stations, Salford, Whalley, Rochdale, Windemere, Clitheroe and Kendall among others.
You don’t need a discount code to take advantage of the offer – instead, just search for your route as usual on the website or app and select the date you’d like to travel.
Northern is the second largest train operator in the UK, with 2,500 services a day to more than 500 stations across the North of England.
