A road in Heaton is set to be closed from the the start of next year for works.
The back of Bertrand Road will be closed from January 8 for around four weeks while water works are ongoing in the area.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the back of Bertrand Road from Paiton Street to the back of Park Road to facilitate water works.
There will be diversions in place so residents can travel around the area with ease.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
The council apologises for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
