A car was seized after police found it was being driven by an uninsured and unlicenced driver.
The black Renault was spotted by officers on patrol in the Halliwell area on the morning of Wednesday December 27.
They say they first stopped it after their suspicions were raised about the way the car was being driver.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have seized a vehicle this morning in Halliwell.
“The vehicle was stopped due to the manner of driving.
“Enquiries established that the driver did not have any insurance to drive the vehicle and also did not have a driving licence.
“The vehicle has been seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act and the driver has been reported for the offences.”
This comes amid long running concerns about crime on the roads in Bolton and further afield across Greater Manchester in recent months including cases of car theft, dangerous driving, driving without licences and driving without insurance.
Police have also reported recent cases of drink driving and drug driving.
Officers have urged anyone with any concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour on the roads or otherwise in their communities to get in touch by calling 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
Alternatively, witnesses can also call independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
