Staff at a Bolton solicitors have shown their Christmas spirit after raising funds for a cause set up in memory of a baby girl who died after suffering with heart failure.

Fieldings Porter Solicitors, based on Silverwell Street, had its annual charity Christmas carol concert at Bolton Parish Church in aid of Lagan’s Foundation.

The charity was set up in memory of Lagan Grant, who died aged just 15 weeks on April 26, 2011 after being born with complex congenital heart defects.

It provides home care and respite to families across the North West who have children with complex health needs, specialising in congenital heart defects or feeding difficulties.

The annual carol concert is a cherished tradition hosted by the solicitors and each year they choose a local charity to support.

Fielding’s Porters’ Peter Sutcliffe said: “We’re really pleased to have been able to support Lagan’s at our event.

“Both in terms of informing more people about the wonderful work they do and financially by having participants and members of the audience make donations.

“The very high-quality event was a fitting conclusion to our work with and for Lagan’s in 2023.”

The evening started with performances from Corus Brass, BMS Singers, and Fielding’s Porter's own choir.

The generosity of the audience resulted in a total amount raised of £536.62 for the charity.

The money will be donated to the charity’s donated care project, providing 19 hours of care to families facing the unique challenges of caring for a child with a heart defect or feeding issue.
