Police in Bolton seized two cars for having no insurance while driving around in the Halliwell area.
Officers spotted the two cars in one night whilst on on patrol.
Police say that car being driven was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act after the motorist failed to 'wait around'.
The second driver was also found to not have insurance and was given a traffic offence report as well as having his car seized.
A spokesman for GMP said: "Last night, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team seized two vehicles under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
"The first vehicle was sighted in Halliwell. The vehicle had no insurance policy in place. The driver did not wait around to be spoken to by officers and therefore the vehicle was seized under S165 as it was suspected that the driver at the time did not have any insurance to drive the vehicle.
"The second vehicle was sighted by officers again in Halliwell.
"The vehicle was stopped and enquiries established that the driver did not have insurance to drive the vehicle.
"The driver was given a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) and the vehicle was seized under S165."
Police are cracking down on car crime in Bolton and continue to patrol the borough.
