A woman died at her home at the age of 36
Kirsty Smith was found at her home on Haydock Street near to the town centre on December 6 this year.
Despite medical intervention, she was pronounced dead that day.
An inquest into her death opened on Wednesday, December 20 at Bolton Coroners Court.
Police Coroners Officer Julie Ann Hyde said: "On December 6 this year, Ms Smith was found hanging at her home address by her partner.
"Despite medical intervention, her condition deteriorated. She was confirmed dead on December 6."
Ms Hyde said there had been a police investigation, which found that there 'didn't appear to be' any suspicious circumstances.
Pathologist Dr Patrick Waugh gave her cause of death as hanging.
Coroner Timothy Brennand adjourned the inquest to be heard on April 3 next year.
He asked for evidence from Ms Smith's GP, mental health services and from North West Ambulance Service.
