A man was rescued from a ‘dangerous position’ this afternoon after a car mounted a garden wall.
Emergency services were called to Church Road at around 12.45pm today following reports of a collision between a moving vehicle, a stationary vehicle, and a garden wall.
Firefighters one of the vehicles came to rest above the garden wall ‘in a dangerous position’ and specialist equipment was used to rescue a man from the car.
A timber support structure was built to stabilise the vehicle and fire crews from Bolton North, and Bolton Central attended alongside two technical rescue appliances from Leigh.
Watch Manager Kopicki from Bolton North said: “We were called to a road traffic collision involving a moving vehicle, stationary vehicle and a garden wall.
“A vehicle had come to rest above the garden wall and was in a dangerous position.
“Two appliances, one from Bolton North and one from Bolton Central attended as well as two technical rescue appliances from Leigh.
“We used stabilisation equipment and built a timber support structure underneath to stabilise the vehicle
“One male occupant was released from the vehicle.
“Two appliances arrived around five minutes after the call and we were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
"Police and ambulance services were also in attendance”.
