A Bolton man has been charged with a number of weapons and drug offences.

Mohammed Arif has been accused of two counts of "being concerned in the supply of" Class A drugs crack cocaine and heroin, and possession of an offensive weapon and a bladed article.

The 26-year-old, of of Dorking Close, Bolton, has also been alleged to have been in possession of criminal property and driving with no insurance.

He appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court yesterday, Wednesday, December 13, and was released on court bail with conditions.

Detective Sergeant Paul Quinn, of Greater Manchester Police's Operation Challenger Bolton Team, said: “We are committed to tackling organised crime and the supply of drugs across Greater Manchester.

“The charges come as part of the wider ongoing Operation Challenger, Greater Manchester’s response to tackling serious and organised crime.
